Between a rock and a toxic place. Canadian newspapers report that reused bottled water containers can be breeding grounds for dangerous bacteria, but that the process of cleaning the bottles properly causes the plastics — intended of one time use — to break down and leach toxic chemicals into the water you drink. “The Canadian Bottled Water Association advises against reusing the containers altogether.
