Chickeny rice

Pump up the flavor of plain rice. 117 calories per serving.

2.5 cups Swansons “Natural Goodness” Chicken Broth
1 small onion — cut in eighths
4 toes garlic — coarsely chopped
1 tbs “herbs de provence” OR 3 tbs. fresh parsley coarsely chopped
1 cup Short grain brown rice

You will need: 2 medium sauce pans, a colander or other strainer

Bring Chicken Broth to a boil, Add onion, garlic and herbs. Simmer until reduced to about 2 cups.

Pour rice into its own sauce pan. Strain broth mixture into rice pan. Add a few of the onions and garlic. Cook rice as usual.
